Yes, I agree. I had an extremely capable teacher, whoI immediately trusted; so when I started out and couldn’t always see it myself, I was able to know that each study I was given was relevant in this way. That was extremely advantageous because it freed me up to just practice.

Yes, concurrent. Sometimes I had to put the bass down, or walk away from the piano for five minutes so that I could find a less turbulent mindset with which to continue.
