Agreed , they understand that there are no secrets as such and the success of the session is 'how' the coach executes the activity - others may just focus on the 'what.'

"Play your own way to create problems for your opponent... Your behaviours are a response of your rival." - Guardiola and Kasparov shared discussions together over philosophy and ideas. Playing a certain way, disregarding the opponent is detrimental.

Wonder if Laporta would have paid a lot of attention to commerce as did Rossell & Bartomeu (worth reading Ferran Soriano's book on this topic).

Interesting battle between style v commercialism. Always wondered if style and values alone would have brought in greater revenue. My belief is yes (hence my research paper dedicated to that)

“Todo el tiempo tenemos que mirar al jugador libre. Y todo lo que hacemos es pasar el balón”, indica Mikel Arteta. Puede sonar básico pero en el Arsenal el concepto de ‘tercer hombre’ y las triangulaciones se explotaron muy poco. Que la gente crea...

“If you keep the ball then the opposition will get tense and want to get aggressive. This will force them to break out of their positions and this is when you expose the space. Patience — that’s the difference between a good player and a top player.” - Mikel Arteta
