No dice. If they figure out a way to get past Utah’s grip over alcohol I’ll be seriously impressed.

I think unofficially / privately you can but it has to be stealthy. Technically it’s illegal I believe 😔

Non-existent alcohol delivery in Utah never really bothered me till the Pandemic hit.

We are not prepared for a pandemic. Trump has rolled back progress President Obama and I made to strengthen global health security. We need leadership that builds public trust, focuses on real threats, and mobilizes the world to stop outbreaks before they reach our shores.

A 60% marginal tax rate doesn’t mean if one makes $400K, they’d pay $240K in taxes. It means one would get taxed at that rate for every dollar over the threshold they make. For ex: if you make $401K, the $1K would be taxed at 60%

Really hoping the re-launch becomes a smashing success. Sometimes an idea just needs years to marinade.

I’m talking about thoughtful redesigns, not just remixes of layouts and UI without thinking about product and user impact.

Yes def agree to disagree :) Assumption/intuition, then test. Rinse + repeat is a great way to iterate on products + build new ones. The data only tells one story. You have make assumptions off the data. It’s a slippery slope to A/B testing literally everything (slower)

Disagree. I’m a big believer in learn by doing. Also, there’s a ton of peripheral research that can be done without being part of the org.

Totally agree. I think Ego comes into play on both sides of the equation. Seen product designers too close to their product and gut reaction is less rational and more ego centric.

I like seeing unsolicited redesigns. I like seeing how a designer thinks about a problem when they don’t have all the internal org context + challenges. — I like to see what kind of assumptions they make or don’t make about the inner workings of a product. There is value there.

Didn’t movie theaters start dying before the pandemic?
