91.6% of images have alt text. Yay? Buuut .. The median length of the alt tag is 6 characters. This maps to alt=””. Only 39% of images use alt text that is longer than 6 characters. The median value of ‘real’ alt text is 31 characters. Web Almanac 2019

The is almost ready to launch and I'm really REALLY excited. 75+ people from the web community volunteered their time to produce a report containing **20 chapters** about the state of the web. So grateful for all of the contributors and I can't wait to share our work!

I'm staying at this hotel where you need a key card to take the elevator but can freely go to the stairs to any room you want and I'll definitely use that as a metaphor in standard discussions

I raised the priority of the feature because aborting pipes turns out to be important for managing long-lived connections, for example with the Serial API. Feedback matters!
