This is a step in the right direction, now we just need a way to attach the straps to your mobile device. The straps could power the headphones too, so you don't need to worry about charging, and automatically pair with the device when they're connected.

Their customers are generally much less technical - so the tools need to solve their problems as a beautiful opaque blackbox tool (a luxury race car, not a bunch of parts that you can turn into any kind of car that can fit any kind of terrain - which is what dev tools tend to be)

Jokes aside, I thought mine was making annoying clicking sounds. Could not repro with my wife or when I got off the bike and labeled with my hand! Turned out I didn't tighten the screws on the shoe clips enough and a washer was going up and down as I pedaled. 🤦‍♂️

Had kid. Life priorities dramatically changed. Took a lower level job and optimized company choice for low drama/ego/aggro to have better work/life balance and less stress. Just moved to Seattle to optimize for kid.

Last I looked it would cost as much as a car to get those. Still the same? :)

General monitoring out the house, peace of mind. Lots of package theft in the neighborhood, neighbors can walk into the backyard and peer into our back windows and stuff. Our new neighbors already did that once when we were away - probably a "hey did these people move in yet?"

Yeah those look good! But wary of the monthly cost of having 4 of those to pay for cloud storage, versus just using my NAS at home and stuff. But I'm sure it comes with lots of great other features too - most specifically a convenient modern app.

LT: Thoughts on home security cameras? The consumer ones (like nest) seem like expensive subscription scams, professional ones I've seen all seem stuck in the 90s. Halp!

I've been a huge Caseta fan but this new place has a bunch of leviton (about half the switches,l. Curious if I replace it all with caseta, or do the test leviton too. Thoughts?
