If Haskell and Prolog and Lisp all had a baby, it'd be shen

Somewhat off similar strand, there are lots of readings (some programming oriented, some academic) along the lines of comparing haskell to lisp

Not a typed language (by default) but you could do some cool stuff with LISP in order to find your way around your notes It's rather neat how clisp is somewhat self documenting with the `appropos` method too

Leary was also kicked out of a psychedelic church for "excessive horseshit" Tho I think the gaming culture is more accurate than Reddit/4chan because, if you play often, you live in these games like how trippy folks in the 60s lived in a prettier reality

The only disdain I've seen regarded when it comes to tech usage tends to be along the lines of "spending too much time on your phone". There is certainly this unappreciated element of how fluent/native younger people are on their devices (esp teens/tweens on smartphones today)

> considers online primary Isn't this already the norm with people spending a fair amount of time on Tik Tok, Instagram, YouTube, etc? Perhaps this is more so with younger people than folks who were alive before the commercial internet took over :\

The 'benefit' being that, when it comes to note taking systems, you need info entering/retrieval. By having types/LSP, you get autocomplete [potentially based on context/interface]. And, since it's code, you can bounce through references/definitions like it's hypertext

I think I would use it more out of aesthetic rather than functionality but do think there is long term benefit once a knowledge base is built up. I was also thinking of using this for general note taking since there are already documentation generators (ie godoc, javadoc)

An example of the search-ability with a typed language is Hoogle - where you can search functions by name and/or types

I imagine it'd be nice to have references and definitions automatically generated (ie find all statements about `twitter`) plus you could use some prolog to create your own FAQ or answer questions based on your knowledge base

Kinda following off of this HN post (), has anyone built a personal knowledge base using some typed language (ie Haskell) and LSP (ie autocomplete for note taking) or ?
