It came up recently that ppl were arguing over foods like hummus etc and asking if it was Arab or Jew and I thought it was such a stupid argument...our cultures evolved together, naturally there would be similarities in our foods

Arab is actually an umbrella term for a collection of many different ethnicities. Our individual cultures and dialects of Arabic are totally different from each other...up till this convo I always thought of MENA Jews as one of those many groups.
