Who can help push these Judeo-Bolshevik Lite smears against along and give them “credibility” — if not my fellow Soviet-Jewish immigrants! They know Russia and they know Jew! They’re here to warn you!

Right on cue: Masha Gessen weights in!
The Democratic front-runner’s recent comments exposed a divide between the native-born American left and those who fled totalitarian regimes.

Nice to Masha Gessen — America’s most revered Soviet Jewish immigrant journalist — equating the Soviet Union with Nazi Germany, an equation that has long been a project of American and European righties and fascists.

Reminder: the only reason why Masha is alive today is because part of her wealthy Polish family saved itself from genocide by running to Soviet Moscow, where her grandmother then worked for Stalin censoring foreign journalists — including those from the New York Times.

What does Masha Gessen say about totalitarianism in Cuba again?

I thought you were agreeing with this at first, lol. What a terrible article.

It's interesting that she talks about how out of touch Sanders is for referencing an anachronistic literacy campaign, but then talks about the discrimination that LGBT people encountered in Cuba in... 1962. When I was in Cuba I noticed MANY LGBT out and proud in the streets.

Doesn't Masha Gessen think that modern Russia is totalitarian? I don't think she even knows what it means.

Funny how claims she is a refugee from "totalitarianism", even though it does not exist at all in Russia. And she suggests that incredibly beneficial reforms of Castro should be ignored because of abuses which are inevitable literally anywhere, socialism or not.

What do these people think of Nelson Mandela? And the South African struggle against Apartheid?

Lol. Pointless article. Totalitarianism, bad. Social welfare programs, actually pretty good. How is Sanders doing with the immigrant vote, by the by?
