So interesting as I’m trying to figure out what I want to wear at the upcoming conferences. Last year, someone told me (several times) that I looked “comfortable” to the point I started to think she meant “unprofessional.” So I think I’ll look for something Comfortable 😉

I tweet for the women who aren’t on “the lists” and might never be.. but their worth isn’t tied to that.. Keep shining! Keep impacting. I see you. You are making a difference.

"The right of suffrage was much more diffusive in the Northern than the Southern States & the latter could have no influence in the election on the score of Negroes. The substitution of electors obviated this difficulty & seemed on the whole to be liable to the fewest objections.

There's also the fact that almost no one is productive for 8 hours a day, even at the office. If people track their task time, they'd realize 3-5 hours of productivity is the daily norm in most cases. The rest is meetings, logistics, cognitive reload time, and bathroom breaks.

It is sad that some of these things aren’t already being done & need to be said as something that Vets want like: clear expectations, job satisfaction, new employee orientation, culture, etc. We need to do this for ALL employees.

I am working on the SHRM certificate. So, a lot of these “tips” we SHOULD already be doing. , we shouldn’t need a special Vets hiring program to tell us to make our employees feel welcome when they arrive at work
