Wait. When you get fast music, and you're at a chain of 30, and then the music stopped. The odds have reset as if your back on the first chain.

Yo, dude, I have been looking around for chain fishing info, and have only found conflicting info on the internet. Is there a place with correct info, or was it not researched enough?

That's just for the odds. The info i want to know is: does catching a Pokémon break the chain, for example. A dozen sites says it does, another dozen says it doesn't. Can you run away from the pokémon? Same thing, some says you can, some doesn't.

Move don't break the chain if you don't move from your current zone, exemple you can move in Route 7 during chaining but it will not break your chain. You can run away from the Pokemon it will not break the chain. If you don't hook any Pokemon your chain will break.

Look at that then, you can indeedly move around. Last question I'd have then is: can you catch something and keep the chain? The answer sounds like it would be an obvious yes, but you know, confirmation and all.

I'm pretty sur that yes, if you want to test you can fishing a Pokemon and catch it and fishing an other pokemon and run away, go to Route 16 and talk to a NPC who will give you the lenght of your best chain if you don't have do any chain before you will have your answer
