Michael Carriere, 31, has been charged with a number of offences after a stolen vehicle fled from police. AIR1 tracked and directed officers to a carport where he had been attempting to hide. Carriere resisted arrested and assaulted two officers. Details:

Shout out to the officers working in Major Crimes for their ongoing efforts and to the pawnshops who track and search each item pawned and support our efforts to return stolen items to their owners. Last year alone more, than $245,000 in merchandise was recovered and returned.

2/2 When an item is stolen, you can report via 204-986-6222, at any police service centre or via online reporting (not indiv. units). Investigators were made aware of suspicious guitars at this loc. and were already in the process of sorting things out. .

So, to be more clear. There was no report received about this theft (save for what has been posted on social media). Still, investigators are presently working to get the guitar back. We have reached out to the guitar owner to resolve this. . 1/2
