I love it when scientists display this kind of satisfaction and joy at their accomplishments! It shows us that science is actually a very human endeavor and not at all as cold and emotionless as it is often portrayed.

Gravity making light so heavy that it can eat it. Imagine the light from a candle or a lightbulb turning back under its own weight. I never thought I would see a photograph of that. Amazing work, Dr. Bouman.
