TIF Funds (Tax Increment Funding) are diverted from going to public schools to towns to upgrade blighted areas via infrastructure. To me, boat slips for convenience don’t meet that criteria. via

NOTE: Even if the voters were to pass this in a ballot referendum this Nov, it would not affect the current mayoral term that runs until 2021. It would take effect after the voters choose the next mayor in Nov 2021.

Committee meetings are. Meetings/discussions on non-committee matters with less than a quorum are not and are in compliance with the law. They are infrequent but must occur.

Meeting in numbers LESS than a quorum complies with state law, it doesn’t “get around it.” This is done often (such as 4-member Committees) in order to brief council members on information without constituting a quorum.

Most meaningful moment on our outing aboard the Coast Guard Cutter James was seeing the crew lining the deck to spot their awaiting family members after several months deployment. Grateful for their sacrifice & service.
