Last week posted a Holly leaf which had been mined by the larvae of the holly leaf miner fly, Phytomyza ilicis. Since then, I've seen these mines in several places local to me in (incl my garden).

A tiny fungivorous oribatid mite wanders around the damp underside of a rotten log. Finding macro subjects in winter can be tough - but mites and springrails are always out there if you're willing to go higher mag! This is cropped from a 4.5x f/5.6 shot on the Laowa 25mm.
