I like to use which is like the open source of photography 😄 Not sure you're looking for drawy art but there's a ton of awesome pictures on Unsplash.

I don't think any of my followers here care 😅, but I just released a few film shots from India🇮🇳 on . It's basically the open source of photography so maybe it's not completely unrelated 📸 Anyhow, enjoy them here:

Especially considering that crafting the Elixir code would probably yield significant improvements, my gut would say at least 30% faster or so, bringing the results even closer. 🙁

I agree with this especially when your supervisor children come directly from libraries that take config as options (which is all the good ones 😁)

to anyone who insists on the "decades start on the 1 year" pedantry, I give you ISO 8601 4.11:

I'd prefer to have the same order and pass an empty list. Explicit over implicit 🙃

Yeah I was about to suggest the second API, since the two things have different semantics anyways

I knew this but, not knowing the use case, I would probably not rely on this for an API 😁 But useful to deal with Erlang APIs (like gen_tcp) nonetheless

My friend Karl wrote about the winner for most frustrating issue I had to co-deal with in 2019 😄 Great writeup 🙌

do they use Elixir or you're going to work on a different stack? If you can say 🙃

Having it built in means that there is no data copying between processes (if you wanted to build the rate limiting as another stage) and every producer, like RabbitMQ or SQS or Kafka, gets it for free.

Rate limiting in Broadway addresses use cases where you have a pipeline that can only consume a given number of messages over a given time frame. It could be because you want to keep resource usage lower, or are rate limited by something else after the pipeline.

The next version of Broadway, our concurrent and multi-stage data ingestion and data processing for Elixir, will soon be out with built-in Rate Limiting (thanks to ) and official Kafka support (thanks to )!
