If you are reporting an emergency to services abroad, we would advise using the local way of describing a location. what3words is currently only used by emergency services in the UK.

It isn’t possible to buy your own words. All 3 word addresses are allocated by an algorithm & completely fixed, meaning that they can be used offline, which wouldn’t be possible if people were able to make changes.
