On July 2, 2002, business leader James S. Kemper Jr. died at 88. A person in long-term recovery from alcoholism, he pioneered Employee Assistance Programs, was a Betty Ford Center founding board member & developed the 1st life & health insurance products esp. for ppl in recovery.
