More than 12,000 people in Albania remain without homes after the 6.4-magnitude earthquake that devastated the country in November. Through both the WCK kitchen and our local partners, we have served 60,000 meals to these families.

Time for the WCK Farmers Market in Abaco, Bahamas!🍅🥬 As recovery moves forward following Hurricane Dorian, we're looking at new ways to support the community. In addition to cooking daily meals, we are giving away free produce for families to cook themselves!

Why do we garnish our meals?🌱 WCK's Director of Chef Operations says, “You eat with your eyes first! And by using fresh herbs, you can lower the amount of salt you need to use in your meal because they add so much flavor.”

When WCK arrived in The Bahamas ahead of Hurricane Dorian, we had no idea how extensive the devastation would be. Cooking from 3 kitchens, and with the support of thousands of people like you, we've served 3 million meals. As recovery continues, we'll be here.

Meet Tracey & Mitchell! They've lived in Mallacoota for 18 years where Mitchell has a firewood business & Tracey runs ‘Cafe 54’, a popular eatery in town. Amid the fires, WCK's Feel Good Feeds program has helped Cafe 54 remain open to serve their neighbors.

Another large earthquake hit Albania this week, affecting areas recovering from the 6.4 quake in November. Families still living in tents are scared from the shaking, but most structures are okay. WCK continues to provide meals through our partner, the Albania Food Bank!

Families living in the refugee camp come places like El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, & Mexico. This child helped our team all night before taking control of the speaker, playing his favorite music & relaxing after a long day.

And now, it's time for dinner from the WCK tent! We get a lot of help from volunteers coming in as well as refugees living in the camp. Many of the kids enjoy helping to clean up both before and after the meal, along with serving food to others.

Each day, WCK's Chef Relief Team serves dinner to refugees living in tents at the US-Mexico border waiting for their asylum cases to be heard. For various reasons including violence, finances, and more, families are unable to return home while they wait.
