No, it's 3 million to make each fairing half. They are made of carbon fiber so excessive impact on water can create cracks in the structure. You may not see the faults but they can propagate. Also because its carbon fiber you can't repair it, just make a new one.

The fairings have steerable parafoils so it's not just the ship trying to catch it. The fairings is actively aiming for the ship

It's 3million per fairing half so break even is pretty easy to hit.

They are made of carbon fiber, shock from a water landing can create cracks in the structure. You may not see them but they could propagate. Also you can't repair corboin fiber, just replace it.

Think of it less as a parachute and more of a parachute/wing hybrid. They have complete control

We do it every day, sats are so spread out it's unreal. Most are the size of cars and are thousands to millions miles apart. you are more likely to see nothing if you flew in a random direction than actually see something. Let alone collide

Every flight means a loss 2nd stage which is far more expensive. More satellites per rocket is optimal.

Heavier payloads require a drone ship landing because going back to the Cape means burning precious fuel to turn around. They land at the Cape when they can but there is literally not enough fuel in the rocket to do that in this case

Think of it this way, every pound of insulation you put on there is a pound taken off from the payload

Yeah, it's really not about structural integrity though. The steel skin is plenty strong it's just that methane and oxygen tend to evaporate from the Sun's energy. That releases gas that can cause an overpressure event, so they vent it so there is no boom.
