Guideline papers set the cut point at 50K for moderate risk bleeding procedures (including tunneled CVC insertion). First RCT ongoing. Important to consider other factors that increase bleeding risk: ASA, etc & plt dysfunction

Central veins were wide open. 👉🏽AVF volume flow? 2 L/min. 👉🏽 Echo? EF =40%; marked LA dilation; marked LV thickening SV = 118 ml/min x HR 82 =CO 9.4 L/min 👉🏽 And just for , w/AVF compression, HR = 71

Here’s followup from the case 👇🏽 Cephalic was turned down to the brachial vein. Patient returned w/2 wk post-op generalized arm swelling. Repeat angiogram 👇🏽

Nice result. 👍🏽 Looks like you used the 4F system in an antegrade direction. Did you coil during the initial procedure or wait to see what matured? Any idea what the brachial artery volume flow was on completion?
