This is sad! This new submission model is supposed to help accept more papers. It actually is doing the opposite.

Attending the first day of the @shonanmtg on fuzzing and symbolic execution I'm co-organizing with @mboehme_ and Abhik Roychoudhury. Great discussions already on scalability challenges, benchmarking, test driver construction, educating developers about automated tools, and more.

On my way to Tokyo to attend my first Shonan meeting ever on #fuzzing and symbolic execution. So excited about the program and the chance to talk to people from both academia and industry including fathers of DART, KLEE @kleesymex, #libfuzzer, and ASAN.

Glad to share the finale of our TCP side channel work (accepted in CCS 19) --- using model checking to systematically discover side channels in the Linux and FreeBSD/MacOS's implementations (a number of new ones are found). See cs.ucr.edu/~zhiyunq/pub/c…

Cool new side channel attack against RNGs from @shaananc and others. Basically, takes advantage of the fact that NIST’s standard AES PRNG re-uses a single key for too long, which allows a local attacker to extract the secret. security.cohney.info/blackswans/

I reviewed 20 papers for CCS this year. I reviewed 20 papers for Usenix SEC. The quality and fairness of the discussion at SEC is orders of magnitude better than that of CCS. So it's not individual volume but setting and maybe global volume
