Reneé D. Le Vine
I am a writer of speculative fiction, a weaver of worlds and the fates of those in them. I want to impact people, to enchant them, and to get them reading.

In the most recent WIP I worked on, she's being forced to evacuate the station on Venus she's worked at for 5 years, for a reason she thinks is unfair.

Je lis un roman fantastique appelé "Castledown." Je l'ai trouvé au magasin caritatif. C'est la suite d'un autre roman appelé "La Citadelle Cassée." Tous deux sont très interessants.

I'm not great with editing. In writing, as in life, I'd rather take the time to do something right the first time than have to go back and redo it. So with drafts I try to make the 1st draft the only one. 1st novel I revised the revision just made me hate the novel.

I have come to the conclusion that I am not going to get any writing done this week. Probably just as well, since I just finished such a huge novel draft last week (almost 110k words...not even joking). So will allow myself to take a break this week.

People of the world - please, PLEASE do not shame other people for not taking the stairs. Some people are tired. Some people have chronic illnesses. Some people are sick. It's really not appropriate to force your ideas of "walkable" on someone else.

I'm pretty sure there are scenes I could cut from the novel I just finished, but not sure which one. It's more like there are parts of scenes that could go, since I have a lot of really long scenes.

(Cont) If I can finish this it'll be the first novel draft I've finished in I think almost 8 years. Don't know what says about me but...not going to give up!

In the final stretch of my Nukata draft now. Onto the 2nd to last chapter! (Well, third to last including the epilogue, which I've already written).

Was hoping to finish the first draft of Nukata last night but the exhaustion of working 6 days straight got to me. Hopefully I can finish it today.

1. Finish my current WIP (it's very close to being done). 2. Try to get decent sleep. 3. Enjoy the days I get off work this week cause I had to work 6 days straight to earn them.

I certainly hope so, since I've been writing fairy tale/myth-esque stories for my fantasy universe for years! Though I don't think I've brought them up at RM though.

What do you hunger for most in your creativity? There is no guarantee of sales, popularity, contracts, or fans. But God does guarantee His presence in all you do...if you seek it above all else.

All in a day: using data from NASA's Cassini spacecraft, researchers believe they have finally solved a longstanding mystery, the length of a day on Saturn.

Big shout out and thanks to everyone serving our country in spite of not getting a paycheck right now. You are appreciated greatly during this nonsense.

When stuck creatively, artists often hesitate, duplicate, or terminate the project. Choose instead to originate. Being stuck is your invitation to seek a new path into uncharted territory rather than lean into what's worked before.
