Great thread by on food, Brexit, changing tastes & the dreary reality that food during & post rationing (until well into the 1990s!!!) was grim - & not something anyone should be nostalgically invoking in the context of Brexit.

Your review reminds me of dishes served at restaurant Montia in San Lorenzo El Escorial, just west of Madrid. Down to the pinecones and locavore herbs and leaves. Definitely worth a go.

This masterpiece of wine/Star Trek fanfic supports my claim that reds from Chateau Picard ought to be Pinot Noir, but that they likely also make wine from Savagnin in the white and also orange (white grapes with skin contact) style of nearby Jura.
