A very clear message here is that military contracts (multiple companies are name checked here) are more important than morality/the assassination of a journalist:

It’s the unconscious bias of misogyny against assertive young women. By breaking her down now, she’ll be less of a problem later.

Ocasio-Cortez didn't sign the anti-Pelosi letter, but 16 men did. Ocasio-Cortez called Pelosi "the most progressive choice" for Speaker. 16 men are claiming she's costing the party. But guess who's going to still be positioned as the anti-Pelosi leader? Not the 16 men.

Raise your hand if you've over 29 and don't have a year's salary in a retirement account. Raise the other one if you wish more people in congress knew what it was like not to have a year's salary in a retirement account. Now scream like you're on a roller coaster.

For a long time, there wasn’t a day that went by that I didn’t think about folk. I’m sorry to say that domestic distractions have taken their plight off my conscious radar, but their pain—so unfathomable—is still so present. How do we live in such an awful world????

I feel like the internet has increased an already impossible volume of people who are unable / refuse to see the world through a nuanced lens. And it’s super annoying.

For the record, you’re not the one being aggressive in telling AOC what she “needs to do”—but I feel like this tweet is enabling those who are.

I completely disagree but I respect your perspective. Let’s keep the conversation going without being so aggressive in deciding who needs to “stop”, “sit down”, “shut up”, etc. We all, esp our elected reps, have a right—a duty, even—to voice our concerns & visions for the country

Of the 32 new Rhodes Scholars chosen today, a record 21 are women and almost half are immigrants or first generation Americans. One is undocumented and under DACA. They constitute another reminder that immigration can enrich America.

The sheer scope of the horror and devastation of the wildfire in Northern California keeps escalating. The list of the missing now tops ONE THOUSAND. The homeless number in the THOUSANDS. Hazardous smoke levels envelop MILLIONS. Where is the national attention and mobilization?

“Let’s be clear: This is not a speech of concession because concession means to acknowledge an action is right, true or proper,” said , ending her campaign to be Georgia’s governor. “As a woman of conscience and faith, I cannot concede that.”

Brett Kavanaugh got a lengthy standing ovation at The Federalist Society event yesterday. Dr. Christine Blasey Ford has moved four times, still can't teach and continues to receive death threats. Justice is weeping today.
