My short answer is to start by doing very very small things. Like, I trust that I will put away this dish. Then put it away. Then I trust that I will read 5 pages of this book. Then read it. Slowly, SLOWLY expand to more and more things

It's the "make your bed in the morning" advice. If you start with small wins, you build easy momentum for reaching for bigger and bigger tasks, gradually.

It really works
You can’t beat yourself up over failing though - or at least you should try to beat yourself up less and less each time you fail, and instead redirect that energy to starting over
