Agree...it’s a waste of resources and it’s inefficient. I suspect you have seen ⬇️....”...Why your next emergency room bed should be in the cloud”. You can probably guess what my perspective is.....

Did we learn anything about communication during SARS? Different messages from multiple sources is confusing & silence is frightening. The daily SARS briefings led by the late Dr. Donald Low were accurate, reassuring & appreciated. We need 1 message, 1 voice w/ regular updates!

From what I see it’s the same pt advocates across multiple orgs on Boards, panels, keynotes - no new faces/perspectives! All for optics and checkboxes until a broad contingent of patients with diverse perspectives are included. So far it seems very insular.

Agree 100% Bob. Virtual walk-in clinics are a bridge too far IMO; without a known relationship, patient safety could be compromised, especially for high-risk, vulnerable patients.....

I have a friend who has been doing that for 20-ish years....she also wipes down the hotel room. Truth.

So far patient engagement is missing. Involving the same patient leaders across multiple orgs/panels/keynotes is not patient engagement. A broad contingent of pts with different perspectives is lacking!

Agree Rick. ON hospitals are near 100 % regularly. Every healthcare professional likes to have something in their emergency fund when there is a crisis -we have lost our hospital emergency fund, aka surge capacity or wiggle room when we need extra capacity!

And hopefully for many seniors, given time and Rx, a much more desirable outcome - ability to return home!
