Now only if they could fix the lag on Android I'll switch back.

They are really focused on fixing all the android issues. If you want to try out a fresh experimental browser from Mozilla try

BS. Rocket is nothing but yet another front-end for Android’s Chromium-based WebView. There is no Gecko/Servo engine in a 2.3MB download.

This. Let my browser be a browser, not a social app or a news app. Pocket is a proprietary platform, no need to have it on

Pocket WAS proprietary now it's repos are being published as Free Software. It's part of the deal Mozilla made with Pocket when they aquired it.

I don't see the code for the server, only for the add-on. So it's not a free service.

It will be published also. It takes time for companies to publish their source code. Just look at Code Rush to see how hard it was for Firefox to get it's initial source published.

True, and I don't mind pocket, I use it on my mobile as well. I just don't think a non-profit browser should include for-profit integrations.

Time has already passed. Pocket was acquired by Mozilla quite some time ago. It's obvious there is no will to do it.

Pocket is owned by Mozilla Corporation which is owned 100% by Mozilla Foundation. Foundations can own for profit entities. Basically if you trust Mozilla Foundation you should trust anything it owns.

Most of the repos from the Pocket GitHub page were not there 6 or 12 months ago. They keep bublishing new repos from time to time. All server side properties of Mozilla are Free Software. Pocket will probably be soon.
