You know what? The flap over merits a thread of old-timey songs that were pretty explicit, some of which I used to play on the radio (and others I couldn’t). Featuring mostly Black musicians, because they were, as usual, trailblazers. Ready? Sweet. Let’s dive in!

I remember exactly when it became a trend (from tumblr, I think). It’s like someone started thinking “you know what this piece of text needs? A low quality gif to tear your attention away from trying to read what I wrote”

I was told at work not to return a transformed value from a redux useSelctor. Something like: `selectedDay: moment(state.range).add(3, "days")` as the `moment` call causes a re-render any time the redux tree changes as no two moment calls are equal. Is this accurate?

I have heard nothing but stories of footguns regarding service workers. Really puts me off trying them out.

I think that verbosity > concision in this case. Since you explain it this way, why not call it "Using Redux the Right Way™"

The issue I see is when you need both hooks for a single element. If they're both returning separate refs, you can't apply both refs to the same element.

Designing hooks that work with refs. Should the hook be creating and returning the hook, or only accepting hooks to be used? cc.
