This is exactly what’s wrong with design exercises in interviews. It’s a ritual to see if the candidate conforms to a overly simplistic notion of design, not if they are actually a great designer. Smart teams can assess a candidate’s true design skills without these rituals.

Learning about agentative tech such as ‘shotspotter’ and ‘kitestring’ which help protect people from gunshots and unsafe dates in the states. I’m not sure whether to be impressed by the tech or sad that they need to exist.
