So every engineer who checks out the Ember.js application is guaranteed to be running the build and dev server with the same Node 10.6.0 and Yarn 1.17.3 (as an example) as everyone else.

At LinkedIn, we've standardized on Yarn and Volta () for JavaScript dependency and toolchain management. Our engineers are much happier (as reflected in survey results) and previously common sources of build errors have almost entirely disappeared.
