I moved from nvm to for Node.js version switching. Volta is written on Rust and much faster. It is critical is you switch versions on `cd`. There is also asdf , which works with many tools, not just Node.js.

Little discovery of the day : , the replacment of nvm & nvm-windows for Linux, Macs and Windows ! It's basically a fast node version manager written in Rust with some extra tricks like pins for automatic nodejs version changes per projects ! No more 'nvm use' needed !

I’ve been using volta to manage my node installations for a while now. Give it a shot! (nvm is pretty good, mind you, but I like that volta can manage my always-installed global tools.)
