Presidency confirms that Political Party Funding Bill has been signed into law by President Ramaphosa. It is not likely to be promulgated before the 2019 elections. But we can all hope.

The NPA and the Hawks must act on the clear evidence they have from the former Public Protector Thuli Madonsela’s Derailed report, as well as the Treasury, Auditor-General, and Werksmans reports into corruption at PRASA.

In April 2018, Mr Swartz was removed from his role as Acting CEO of PRASA Rail by the newly appointed Interim Board of Control, led by Khanyisile Kweyama. It is time that those involved in corruption at PRASA are held accountable.

Mr Swartz is also the subject of an ongoing investigation by the Public Protector for unlawful activities during his time at PRASA. We wrote to the Public Protector last year asking about the state of her investigation into Mr Swartz’s actions at PRASA but got no response.

These had been cut into pieces of 6m, and placed in containers ready to be shipped abroad. It is alleged that Mr Swartz was behind the theft of these tracks, which were worth millions of rands in scrap value alone.

MEDIA STATEMENT: welcomes the criminal charges against Mthuthulezi ‘Mthura’ Swartz, a key player in corruption at the Passenger Rail Agency of South Africa (). We trust that this will be followed by more arrests of those that have bought PRASA to its knees.

Amazing work being done by our affiliates at and . "Its (the court case) is significant because no one really knows that an unlawful eviction is actually a crime. What we hope to achieve in this case is to show landlords that there are consequences."

There is also this other company called PRASA, which was ravaged by State Capture (not the Guptas), and whose capture has ruined (and ended) and continues to ruin ( and end) working-class and poor people's lives. Besides , nobody else seems interested?
