So, if you call Yahoo phone support about an account set up in Canada they’ll tell you they can’t help you. They’ll also tell you that nobody can help you. Except a web form. Which lands back at the start of the loop. Does anyone have any kind of advice on this? I’ll buy at Tims.

It’s not me. And my friend’s mum as a lot of stuff in that email account she’s upset about being locked out of. I don’t what what recourse we have but I’m doing to keep trying.

I worked at Y! for three years. At one point, my personal account, which I opened eight years prior to working there, got locked. Even via internal channels I couldn't regain access. And now being owned by Verizon? Christ. I'm really sorry they're so bad at this stuff.

Ugh. Thanks for that. We called and were told that because it was a Canadian account there was nothing they could do.

It was my first SV job. I thought I had "made it" and I'd learn so much. I guess I did in the end. But my god, looking back, the sheer dysfunction. FWIW: I still had their "premium" tech support 800 number in my phone. Called it prior to my reply to you: disconnected 😔
