You are in a maze of legacy C code, all incomprehensibly alike. It is dark. Be careful, you might be eaten by a GNU.

Over at , has terminated their (extremely generous) VM funding for our infrastructure with -10 days notice after a decade. Is there a cloud provider that would like to sponsor our open source selves? Around 100-200 vCPUs used for our builds

Now that our industry is finally recovering from the mass delusion that microservices was going to be the future, it's surely time to for the even bigger delusion that serverless is what's going to provide the all-purpose salvation 🙄😂

Someone who copies you is just copying one frame out of a video. If you keep going, you'll find that their video diverges from yours, and probably not for the better.

~15 years ago, if you wanted a dynamic website with PHP, you installed a LAMP stack, wrote a few toy pages, uploaded the files to a $5 host, fiddled 30mins with htaccess (optional), and you were done. I don’t recall seeing anything close to this easy since then.

Russia’s military Astra Linux is really quite cool, it has a trusted boot component working with a hardware card, it also includes a fully custom window manager Fly WM, that integrates with user mobile devices. It’s built on Debian proving all Linux users are really communists.
