I’ve been involved with programming during the prevalence of 16, 32, and 64 bit systems. I’ve been hit by the sizeof assumptions too many times to count off hand. I’m also aware that this friend could readily be me; if friend isn’t too presumptive also.

Carcassonne gets a +1 from me. Especially good with expansions too. I like Inns & Cathedrals and Traders & Builders. Good for up to six players, but I think best with two.

I loved the module! Always prompted the “when will I ever use this in the real world” reaction. It only contained good stuff! A nice throwback to a simpler time.

I’m really interested in you and how you’re doing. Some of the fondest moments of my teaching career were had in your company. I love catching your adventures in programming. ‘Follow’ is such an odd term to address outside of the app.

"When will I ever need mathematics (in the *real* world)?" - now, the run up to now, all the time. Mathematicians will be saving some lives during this pandemic.

I have been getting into it this weekend, it isn’t really employed folk who are affected (like isolation). The 80% salary is for employed folk who are to be out of a job. It doesn’t really help to keep a business going before it gets that far.

Very kind, thank you! It was a swerve out of my usual patter. I’m glad it was well received.

Reminds me of one of my early gigs writing CGI modules in C. Exposing my dangerous C binaries to the Internet. It was really Wild West.

I used to run the source through a ‘pretty-printer’ if I was struggling while marking. I wish I could remember the name. It was capable of many configurations of ‘pretty’.

Same strange thinking that brought us “Forward Planning”, uttered by every dynamic, synergistic salesperson looking to make you feel embarrassed about your reverse plans.

Especially as version 7 is a very capable and modern language. I thoroughly enjoy developing in PHP.

I like for everyone to be mentors. Whatever aspect of the business. Senior <title> has responsibilities that junior <title> may not, but that might have little to do with their respective skills. Someone with 10 years can learn something from the 2 years another might have.

The Queen is the media tank of the royal family group. Prince Andrew got some aggro. The Queen did an AoE media taunt with the suspension of parliament. It was actually a timely trick-of-the-trade by charming rogue, Boris Johnson...Pro-rogue.

Those lanyards are coming in handy! Is that how they gain access to the defibrillator? :)

My A-level results were very poor. I simply didn’t get on with education at that time for a number of reasons. University was just what I wanted and needed after taking a break.

Hey we are still looking for sponsors for this year. The event is no-profit, so sponsors are very important, and it’s a great way to give something back to the community. Please RT for reach.
