TERFs would be so boring if their ideas weren't so dangerous.

The "I know it when I see it" example illustrates a general principle of late Wittgensteinian approaches to language: we can have tacit knowledge of the meaning of a concept without being able to define it in terms of necessary and sufficient conditions.

If you're not familiar with the famous "I know it when I see it" example from the Supreme Court case about obscenity then you clearly don't know much about the philosophy of language. I don't need to do your research for you.

My book comes out in just two days. Two days! I've been waiting for this for over a year. I can't wait to hear feedback from readers. I am anxious about how it will be received. Will people like it? I'm too close to the text to evaluate it objectively.

Your "philosopher tutor" must not have been very knowledgeable about the philosophy of language or psychology. Or maybe you were just a bad student.

There are incidents where cis females have raped cis females. What's your point?

Having cis males in the same space as cis females is NOT the same as having trans females in the same space as cis females. All these examples are just red herrings.

Assaults in unisex bathrooms are likely committed by cis males but I've never seen any evidence the assaults are committed by trans women.

All that says is a possible sexual assault happened in an all-gender bathroom not that the assault was committed by a trans girl.

We could exchange anecdotes all day. There are 30 million trans females in the world. There are bound to be a few negative anecdotes here and there. Same for cis females. But there is zero evidence of a disparity in crimes committed for trans women vs cis women.

Public policy should be based on facts and evidence and there is zero currently available evidence from scientific studies that the inclusion of trans girls/women into female spaces presents a realistic problem. You're just a fear-monger.

it's common sense. Unless you have a physical disability it doesn't take long to take your underwear on and off. Besides, many trans girls/women would likely keep their underwear on and just change outer clothes or use a private curtain/stall in a female space.

If you want to fling about anecdotes, how about the trans girl that had her head stomped by the boot of a cis girl?

There is no data that it was trans women/girls causing any sexual assaults in unisex facilities anywhere. There is zero evidence anywhere that trans women/girls commit sexual crimes at rates higher than cis women themselves.

I don't care about hypothetical implications of some singular interpretation of some singular law in some particular legal district. Show me DATA.
