Hello translators! I'll be curating this account from Monday thru Sunday - my name's Rosalind Harvey, and I'm a literary translator from the Spanish; I also teach, mentor & run lit trans events. Looking forward to swapping translation tales in these strange new times with you :)

Since my stint is coming to an end, I would like to say thanks to & for this great opportunity! It's been a lot of fun curating (& following it!). Thanks to all who chimed in, shared pics, thoughts & jokes, retweeted, voted & commented!

Oops. Instead of a 10-hour poll, it's a for 1 day and 10 hours, so it's still live for a while. But it's clear that the majority use Twitter for business and for fun, and to connect with other and , one of my favorite reasons - it's like a big coffee klatsch 😍

Same here, Kristina! I actually ended up creating two separate accounts, since my political posts increased rapidly in number three years ago 😉

If you use Twitter professionally in some way, who do you connect with/target, or is Twitter part of a larger social media plan?

On my last day, I'm really interested to hear how you all use Twitter. And as a market research translator, I can't resist another (two-part) poll (even if conditions are not great due to character limits). Please answer both parts, if applicable🤓 Can't wait to see your answers!

I've been a translator for 20+ years, but didn't start attending conferences until a few years ago (little kids, etc.). ATA61 was my first ATA, making me an official junkie. Sure, the current state of the world is uncertain, but the idea of in the fall makes me hopeful.
