good/bad of moving lab is getting to redesign some elements! I'm looking for solutions to behavior racks, i.e. tables, or sturdy racks to place med-assoc style boxes + computer racks. Any tips out there on room designs you've loved?

I need to read fully still, but, the typical idea with adaptation is that it generalized to nearby workspaces, so that would be the null hypothesis

I actually don’t understand why dissertations are not cited more, they are published!

This is consistent with Bizzi 2001 Neuron paper to, I believe?

I don’t think it’s easily definable aside from anatomy giving large hints.

I think this paper can't have such a bold title "Sensory cortical control of movement" - the analysis/manipulations are not detailed enough to claim this, so I find it unfortunate. But, yes would be so rad to figure it out ... working hard on the skilled forelimb part, in 🐭!

Oh yes, definitely agree that it's been demonstrated before that S1 -> spinal cord in mice, rats, primates (with the synapse being diff).

This is an interesting paper (nature.com/articles/s4159…) yet, I think they show modulation but not control via S1. Lesions in S1 don't affect locomotion (Carey lab), or forelimb cntrl (us), and now a # of papers argue for S1 = learning motor skills #MotorCntrlTwitter, your take?

1/ I'm excited to announce that today we are releasing @MiniscopeTeam's new open-source #Miniscope Platform, Miniscope V4! We have redesigned the system from the ground up, making it smaller/lighter & easier to use while also expanding its FOV, WD, & features. More info below👇 pic.twitter.com/O7LE85FR21

Does your DNN have problems with common corruption robustness? You can get suprisingly far by just training on noise! In our new paper, we evaluate how simple learned i.i.d. noise can help to generalize to ImageNet-C. Blog post @ medium.com/bethgelab/incr… pic.twitter.com/sasN63kDyq
