If I ever date a sex worker, mind your business. But if you ever, and I mean EVER, catch me dating someone in “finance”, please put me on blast at your earliest convenience

"Spartan children used to run ten miles with a mouth full of water that they weren't allowed to drink! Modern kids just play videogames!!!" Like. My dude. As if those wiry little fuckers wouldn't have given their back teeth for a slice of pizza and an hour on Sonic the Hedgehog

Those days when something you actually know about appears in the press, so you get a glimpse at how little journalists understand, and then you lose all faith in the very idea of an informed public...

It may be that the article emphasises this bit to sow division, but the underlying story sets a dangerous precedent and I think undermines real discrimination against vulnerable minorities

...but if someone is arguing that having meat on the same shelf as a vegan’s stuff is a HR issue, then I can’t begin to think of the other mad demands people will start to make that make a mockery of very necessary laws to prevent very serious discrimination.

I’m more interested in the dangerous precedent set by making ‘belief’ a protected characteristic. Today having meat on the same shelf, tomorrow having a gay on the next desk. You can say the ‘meat on the same shelf’ thing is a stretch and used to sow division...

I think my favourite thing about 3 toed sloths is that they look like they are drowning all the time, especially when they are on land

“When are we going to have an honest conversation about immigration” they wailed, for 2 decades, whilst having absolutely ZERO understanding of what the current system was. “They let anyone in” they cried, based on complete ignorance.

Pissing myself at how easy it was for this government to sell your own immigration system back to you as something new. It’s not Australia-style, it’s the same system we’ve had for over a decade (now including EU) - you’d know that if you knew the 1st thing about immigration

The hardest I’ve ever been owned in my life was when I was 21 in Barnes & Noble and a teenager asked me where the manga section was. I told them but also said “I don’t work here.” They looked me dead in the eye and said “I know. You just looked like someone who would know.”
