It is both one of the most beautiful and the saddest films I think I've ever seen, I would budget two boxes of tissues, eclipsed for me, only by The Return (3 boxes). The musical scenes in Dancer in the Dark with all the machinery are fabulous, Björk is special.

I'll never forget watching a really early internet stream of a lecture in the 90s (multicast not over tcp). The lecturer walked across the room and left his head behind, hilarious to watch, digital video was very new then.

At high frequencies (10G+) you get board to board performance variation depending on the alignment between the fiberglass weave and the tracks. By routing/placing off the 45/90 you remove the variation, all tracks encounter similar weave topology. You can rotate the weave too.

Digikey has two options to many places. DDP (delivered duty paid) and CPT (taxes/duty due at delivery). For DDP you shop and pay in local currency (prices seem about 10% higher) and pay vat/gst. With CPT you're at the mercy of the courier. eg. digikey.ca/en/resources/c…

I once took the netlist from the schematic guy and generated the top sheet and constraints. Instead of congratulations all I got from my boss was hell because he didn't like the naming conventions, he went in and renamed the lot without asking. I don't work there any more.

Another good choice would be some magnification. We use an HDMI unit at work that has so little lag you can solder under it alone. Great for inspection too, you can see right under smaller BGAs. youtu.be/CWVbVSKT7js

Perhaps a toaster oven and controller or T-962A (modified) for cooking SMT?

David Byrne is so amazing, he still moves like he is a 20yo. Still so awesome, saw his show last year (?), was so amazed. How the heck his tech crew manages to get like 16 performers _completely_ wireless I do not know. youtu.be/aZPvfzC98hE

Although at times it seems like Greg can levitate BGAs like Yoda, I think he uses tweezers and a youthful steady hand....

@gsuberland thanks for the idea, I've submitted this. Seems like a torture test for the pca house! @Claude1079 that's a good idea but I'd prefer the raw pin as buffers like that can complicate tri-state for i2c and charlieplexing. pic.twitter.com/bivi0ud2OH

I'm in this video somewhere, it's the first SZ hacker camp. Learnt a lot, especially confidence with using hot air to solder. It was fun but I've never been game to reball since. The most fun was had by those who overheated their batteries, bang!!!

I tried to hack a small pcb together to bypass the 74HC245 drivers on the Colorlight 5A-75B but it's well under the oshpark minimum (0.25x0.25). Not sure there's much we can do here, @GregDavill ? @pdp7 ? Perhaps I'm late to this conclusion..... pic.twitter.com/3ZBVZgqBac
