This is why we should just be tossing *real coins* at the caucuses instead of relying on coin toss apps!

“This is not a hack,” Iowa Democratic Party says, urging people to remember “not to attribute to malice that which can adequately be explained by stupidity”. pic.twitter.com/avDyIvagvV

Someone’s gonna look like a performance genius in four years when they remove the speed up loops in the Iowa caucus app!

I don’t have simulator running… Or do any iOS development at all. I have Xcode installed I guess but never run an iOS app on here. Would it still affect it in that case?

Anyone else find copy/paste worksless reliably in Catalina? Thought I was going crazy but my friend independently was complaining about the same thing. Just got an external keyboard and it’s still happening so can’t blame it on MBP keyboard issues I think.

Is there an address I can send back all the pistachio shells that were already empty in the bag so I can get a refund for those?

The televised competitions... aren’t a competition. Where’s your competitive spirit?

Because the ads don’t creepily somehow remember the stuff they’ve been recently looking at online?

Idea: a back horn for clearly honking at people behind you.

Yeah, I’m still long $AAPL, short Apple products.

The Watch killed the iPad. And the next thing (glasses, AR, whatever), will kill the other stuff. There’s no vision or end goal of unifying values. Just “more markets”. So yes, they seem resource limited. There is always too much for a finite group of people to do.

When I was on iPhone, many resources were diverted from macOS. This is well known. It was probably worth it, especially considering long term it replaced iPod, so it wasn’t necessarily forever draining. But Apple is now in forever distraction mode.

They have sufficient resources to do a few things fantastically, better than anyone else in earth, OR a LOT of things half-assed, more half-assed things than anyone else in earth. They’ve chosen the latter.

That’s a “dead” version of it. I can’t search my highlighted text, so what’s the benefit over highlighting on physical paper? I can’t highlight more than fits in one screen either. It’s like saying “you can take a picture with a camera and draw on that”.

If my gf gets in the Tesla and drives out, with no warning or confirmation, my phone’s audio switches away from my AirPod Pros and pairs to the car and I just have no control of it at all. I just need to realize that’s what happened and manually switch back.

iLife felt like a *super power* where I could one up other students, because *I had a Mac*. Nothing feels like that anymore, everything is “pay us another $150 then you figure it out”.

In a parallel universe I imagine iMovie on iPad having a super fun feature that lets kids *draw* characters and animations into their live action movies, ala Roger Rabbit. iMovie is a great example of software that was transformative when I was a kid.

Apple used to be above “we’re excited to see what you do with it”. Hilariously, it was the opposite: they created tools to enable THEM to make amazing things, and then only begrudgingly let others do stuff with it. The experience necessitated the tools, not the other ways around.
