It'd be one super long post! But I should totally do that. Am really enjoying the saddle stool and can't wait to keep using it. First impressions are solid. Will sit again.

Actually I just realised that as I taught myself how to freestyle swim in a murky lake that’s probably why I don’t focus too much on what’s around me besides keeping a fast straight line haha 🐟 🦀 🌊 🦢

Arrow video coming up! Mine is also a private school pool. Weird as it sounds I don’t really “look” at much when swimming, I am all about feeling the water, maximising each stroke and listening 👂🌊 my eyes definitely zone out but keep track of movement.

Yeah, I slouch occasionally to let my back have a break but usually you’ll find me sitting very well. Becomes muscle memory then.

What are you meant to do with your arms? I float mine so no pressure on joints and also facing downward is better for typing. Negative camber 🤩

Only just picked this saddle stool up, keep an eye out on follow up tweets next week when spent more time with it. Gym ball was great loved it straight away. Still swap between it too :)

Am 6ft, have moved my monitors up slightly to cater for the increased height. Will report back but enjoying it so far.

That’s probably why I haven’t practiced them much haha! Though in tonight’s 2k swim I did bilateral breathing the whole time - am focusing on building my underwater stamina now and that’ll make the flips easier 🤩... I hope...

I thought the exact same! Abandoned my legs but never realised how important for balance and speed. Give the arrow technique a try and see what you think. If you watch his video he rotates a lot per kick which sets up your pull nicely and less effort to complete the stroke ✅

Yeah dude that’s it! Just the “holy shit what did I just do?!” Few months ago I could barely walk up the stairs without my heart rate rocketing and now I’m pushing myself every single session and coming away dying for another swim ha! No better feeling. 🤩a full body/mind reset

Yeah he’s nuts. Amazing technique! I need to factor in flip turns as at the moment I don’t do them. I hope to hit 1:05 for a 100m sprint in the coming months but right now I’m on an endurance burner!

Haha I don’t believe that unless you have mega knees 🤣. What I do whilst swimming is pretend to kick a football and stop the legs going deep past my body line. Don’t wanna interrupt that water flow 🤪🤓

Yeah I guess we all love different things. I looooove 50/100m sprints but found after a session of them my shoulders ached and I didn’t have that euphoric workout feeling as much. Now after 2-2.5k a session I get the aches and the euphoria 😂

Is that 2:00/100m fitness level or technique? I have found focusing on these made me fast: - high elbow catch - low head position, face down and don’t let legs drop - half diamond shape pull 🖐💎🌊 - arrow style kick (2 kicks per 1 stroke, alternate sides to rotate body)
