Labour's becomes the third shadow cabinet member today to publicly support a change of strategy in favour of Remain/Reform. This is the line. Why can't Labour's unelected officials get on and brief it to the media? Asking for 500,000 friends.

Here's a quick one the day before the referendum diesel was 99p per litre, the day after May resignation it 140.9 p per litre, that's a 41.9% increase, then think what will happen on a no deal Brexit. In France they were rioting in the streets when it went up by 20%.

BBC2 should relent...doesn’t understand its audience or the potential appeal of a politics programme that’s conversational in tone...and with views that can surprise....you’d get 2 million plus

Stewart cannot be Tory leader, and therefore prime minister, because he is sane and principled. It really is as simple as that. We are in a bizzaro world of virtue.

So Britain's now had the two worst PMs in its history one straight after the other. The chances of a hat trick seem very high.

Well isn’t this nice? All of us trapped in the Tory party hellscape with Brexit and UK politics locked in a vicious cycle of idiocy and exceptionalism.... and no end in sight.

May is gone. She had to go. But she could be replaced by Churchill and the outcome still wouldn’t satisfy anyone. Until our leaders are brave enough to admit Brexit can’t be finished, Brexit will finish them. My latest for

Brexit is basically such a toxically shit idea that just talking about it for 3 years has brought our politics to its knees and our country to a standstill. It’s got nothing to do with who’s doing it or how they voted. It’s just a shit idea. And no-one can make it not shit.

What part of the country did May love? Its diversity? Its status and influence on the world stage? Its culture? Its institutions? Its science? Its leading universities? Its democracy? Its NHS? Its young people? Because her premiership and her Brexit have threatened them all.

Well this puts an entirely new complexion on everything. Someone absolutely no one has heard of has resigned. Brexit is solved! God be praised.
