A huge thanks to the 23 people who came to work on our reserve at Holtspur Bottom this morning. Mostly cutting up and burning scrub from Triangle Bank, but also brushcutting top footpath, and chainsawing larger stumps and trees. We even saw a Brimstone butterfly!

I visited a farmer a while back who mentioned that the local barn owls visit his shed to feed on the mice. I only mentioned a box to him in passing. Today he sent me this. Done of his own volition. There are many farmers like this. Find them. Listen to them. Support them. 🦉

Just appalling! One of the most important wildlife sites in North Bucks. Home to all five British hairstreak butterfly species. Best place for bitterns for many miles.
