I like this trailer way more than the actual movie

Would that make a water dimer 'a molecule' then?

Germany‘s subsidies helped massively reduce the price of solar though which helps accelerate global transition. Cheap gas now undermines it.

Yeah, it's not hard to measure pressure so it's not a big deal. Also, the median person lives at an elevation of 194 m above sea level so getting back to the original discussion it makes sense.

Freezing point of saturated NaCl is -6 F it was actually ammonium chloride. It is not hard to distill water I can do it in my kitchen. Even at highest air presssure ever recorded at sea level boiling point was only off by < 2 C.

It's not that hard you just distill it and can get a very accurate freezing point. A lot better than having a 0 that depends arbitrarily on which salt/concentration you choose

lol farenheit is also based on numerology by this reasoning.

It's not but Celcius wasn't adjusted to match body temp like Farenheit supposedly was. Celcius matches water properties which is very important for understanding when a road is going to be icy. Ideally I think we should have 0 is freezing point of water 100 is average body temp.

Fahrenheit is based on the freezing point of salty water which is a strange choice. Also, body temp of 96F is weird.

In December, we launched a Beta version of Giving Green (), which seeks to make evidence-based donation recommendations in the climate space. Our short-term recommendations are quite analogous to a 'Givewell for carbon offsets'👉.

A thread to explain the simplest possible model of how atmospheric greenhouse gases cause warming. PART 1 First, we will figure out how to calculate the surface temperature of a planet without considering the atmosphere, and show that this works pretty well for many planets.

Apparently small amounts of rain isn't actually that helpful. Hinders back burning etc.

Do research into better energy storage and CO2 capture technology. Contact elected reps about it, raise it with my employer, talk to family and friends about it. Go to protests. Vote. Donate. Go vege, drive/fly less. Buy offsets. Mostly satisfying but never feels like its enough.

Leading scientists condemn political inaction on climate change as Australia 'literally burns' - Australian citizens and the environment are paying for the Government’s ignorance of the real issue as demonstrated by their misleading statements.

announcement: if you use VMD, I've made a 64-bit build that works under macOS Catalina. I know quite a few colleagues were anxious to get it working again, so please let me know if it works for you!
