What did he say about people who are found to take advantage or who continue to use drugs after their 'diversion'? Just back to square 1? Maybe we need to force the issue and make treatment compulsory and build proper secure medical facilities for rehabilitation instead.

Unfortunately when you quote directly from a privately sent message to a journalist and it is subsequently published across national media, there can be no expectation of privacy and when that quote is used against you in court it's your own stupid fault.

Same boat. It's been a long 9 weeks waiting since mine, but also seems to have flown by.

It's not only the 'perfect image' that is affecting it IMO. The pressure on people suffering from mental ill health to talk or seek treatment doesn't help either. Everyone else can't solve your problems. Medication won't cure you. Self help should never be underestimated.

If what you say is right, that what I described was never the intended purpose, then it shows how out of touch the people who have implemented this are with victims of crime and the cops dealing with them at the first point of contact. Missed an open goal for actual improvement.

The idea and what people have been crying out for was for what I described. What you describe is another layer of examination. These will not speed up investigation for volume crime.

Scots cops will be able to access your data with your consent, a warrant, or while your device is seized under common law, as they already can, from next week Granted my version isn't anywhere nearly as sexy which is why I don't write misleading clickbait headlines for The Sun.

These were supposed to be something "new" though. A new means of quickly, securely capturing evidence avoiding seizing devices at all, so the most vulnerable victims and witnesses weren't left without their device while we gathered evidential chat logs, pictures or videos.
