The implication that Liljegren should solve all of the Leafs issues at RHD is a joke. The kid is barely an adult, he played in the AHL for two years to good results. Seems like a defender who is developing at the appropriate pace.

True. Seems like a guy who will be coming to the Wings at 22/23. Hopefully at that point he’s ready to step in, if not then this pick may have been a bit of a waste.

He was a guy I ranked mid-40s. I see a lot of potential in him. I just hope he doesn’t stunt his development.

It’s outstanding. I’m really looking forward to him opening up offensively this year. His rookie year in the DEL he was asked to step back and focus on being a good defensive presence. He did that and now will slowly add in the offence again. The potential is huge for Seider

Guy Carbonneau: 21.0 OPS, 23.4 DPS, in 1318 GP Patrik Elias: 89.8 OPS, 34.9 DPS, in 1240 GP Guy Carbonneau was very good at a thing that he probably only had to do for about 2-3 minutes a game and was demonstrably nondescript at all other times.

Wow.. complete lack of commitment to the game. Who wants a medical degree anyways?

I agree with you. My hope was that he would be coming to North America this upcoming year and possibly going to college or even play in the USHL for a year. Odd to me that he’s staying in the Jr A SM-Liiga. I hope that he goes and absolutely dominates that level

That’s why he never moved up to Liiga last year. He was asked multiple times but if he did move up, he would have voided his NCAA eligibility. If he played in Liiga, he may have increased his draft stock. Detroit got a good one in Tuomisto.

While those will be my top three priorities, in no order, I will also be looking at the rest of the NHL and doing some deep dives into the teams who could surprise. I’ll also be releasing some 2019 Draft Recaps over the next week or so.

Thanks buddy. The entire team did a stand up job. The at is going to be Wild with the quality of prospect writers we have.

Not to mention guys like who were outstanding this year. Honestly, I feel like the fourth best player on an NBA super-team. You guys are Lebron, Wade and Bosh and I’m just hanging out like Udonis Haslem.

So Sam, the draft coverage is going to be among the best around now that you and I are both going to be taking care of business. This is going to be fun.

If you're talking about the Subban tarde, I'm with you. They needed to get more for a star right-handed defender. Not a great move. Tomasino on the other hand, was an outstanding pick.
