Gary Woodland showed incredible mental skills to help him succeed in one the most mentally gruelling arenas in sport...the final 18 holes of a Major Championship. His self-talk was outstanding and deliberate! Here's today's 'Thought of the Day'

Keep the idea on ice, I have an app developer here in Ireland so perhaps interesting possibilities into the future. At the early stages of developing a workbook for 'Championship Winning Mindset'. Step by step...

Imagine living in one of these buildings and not caring even a little about basketball. And you just realised you're out of milk.

It seems he took a team that wasn't assembled, drew a few games and managed 1 win. No doubt brought them forward, better to judge at end of season by looking at results then, new manager seems to have had that 'Ole' bounce alright. Jim will see it as great learning opportunity..

You gotta love what you do; the process, the work, the climb. You have to love it because you’ll experience heartbreak along the way. You’ll go through slumps. Things will be unfair at times. And when those things happen, your love for what what you do, will carry you through.

Mental skills can possibly be condensed to three areas: the capacity to direct focus of attention; the ability to shift feelings of intensity; the capability to execute actions with positive intent. So focus, intensity and positive intent. Combined = a High Performance Mindset

Is this from a fan point of view? Players looked hungry for a title in both competitions... players are amateurs so their view should be of paramount importance. If we pay the players, then ok, they take the coin and play for the fans... Lets debate.
