Slight delay with the phones (a few days). Once they start shipping we'll open the pre-orders. Don't want to be overwhelmed - hopefully this makes sense.

In one of the pictures you can also see custom "Factory Test" OS image; yes, the HW QA test software used at the factory is also Linux :) For those interested, the test image can be downloaded here:

We know many of you are waiting for CE - it will be shipping very soon. Meanwhile, here are pictures taken the day production wrapped up. We're not going to spoil the phenomenal box design for this CE (by ) however, pictures don't do it justice.

Got my Pinebook Pro in today. Looking good so far!! The look and feel even surpassed my expectations for a $200 laptop. Best part is that it still tells me I have 4 hours of battery life after getting it updated and setup.

Here's a very cool game from the mid-90 called XBill, and it was people's favorite back then. Almost three decades later, people have forgot this game, so here is that game again on .

Not sure if the uboot that ships with the image supports USB 2.0/ 3.0 boot. I believe that the included uboot is vanilla upstream. There is, however, a patched uboot that enable this feature. Check with devs

We are waiting for the PinePhones to start shipping. The shipping restrictions make the process difficult, so opening pre-order for yet another device this week would be unwise from a workload perspective. Soon.

perfectly cooperate with Dell WD15 USB 3.0 docking station as external ethernet, 2nd display and power charger. That's one of many reasons to got it.

Quality vs performance -1440p is the PBPs sweet-spot for external displays. It CAN do 4K@60, but the Panfrost GPU driver will likely need to be slightly further along.

Power consumption on is insanely low! Without WLAN, low display brightness and a few powertop tweaks, the discharge rate drops to around 2 Watts!!
