The dissertation into book quandary is the topic of an interview, coming to you in July or August. I’m interviewing two editors from and about that exact process. Promise to tag you when it’s out.

I can't speak to the transition from grad school to an industry job. (To be real, when academics give advice in this area it bugs me.) I admire the work you and the team are doing - would you be willing to participate in our chat for a bit and weigh in?

What am I missing? Comment below if you have unanswered questions about your upcoming job change. For those of you who lived this transition in the recent past, what do you wish someone had talked to you about?

🔹 takeover a week from today!🔹 Looking forward to discussing transitions out of graduate school. Topics that have been suggested thus far: 1. Learning the culture of a new job 2. Balancing the personal / professional 3. Fighting off impostor syndrome 2.0

I got peer review notes back and wanted to cry and curse at the same time. Puzzling how 2 weeks later I can reread comments like “oh that’s helpful... and this is insightful... not bad!” Thanks for teaching me about my writing, reviewer #2. Time to resubmit.
