I also did not even consider myself part of the scene, but apparently once you touch the PS4 or write one tweet about it, you are - and at that point everything you do belongs to the "scene". It was all fun until people started harassing and insulting me for not dropping a 0d.

Here you are, , PS4 kernel exploit for FW 7.02 and below. Vulnerability discovered on 2019-06-09. This must be chained together with a WebKit exploit, for example for FW 6.50.

and while I‘m here, I‘d like to announce a new webkit exploit chain for the PS Vita called „HENlo“ which allows you to conveniently jailbreak your device. I‘m lookingh for some funny doggo memes/logo submissions.

The only scene I am part of is the Vita Scene, and I am really proud seeing a lot of people getting into programming and even security thanks to this little toy :)

PS4 scene, you’re starting such a drama over nothing. I was actually planning to disclose something in a few weeks/months (which I will still do...) and after that, I‘d like to announce my retirement, even if I was never part of that toxic and entitled „scene“.

We just open sourced the Tsunami security scanning engine. Tsunami is a false-positive-free scanner focusing on actively exploited, high severity security vulnerabilities. Feel free to reach out to us for questions. (cc , )

Unfortunately Sony implemented their own HID descriptor parser on the PS4 which is not vulnerable. Otherwise I could have realized a dongle jailbreak :(

This week I reported a vulnerability to FreeBSD/OpenBSD where an attacker with physical access to a machine could cause an out-of-bounds read or write on kernel heap by plugging in a malicious USB HID device.
